Vacation Paintings on Tybee Island
I recently went on vacation with my wife's family to Tybee Island, Georgia. This summer I have been working at Butler University on a giant mural using huge brushes most of the time. I was very much looking forward to this opportunity to work small, tight, & with tiny brushes so I worked with Gouache on Twinrocker Handmade Papers.

My Gouache Palette (from left to right): Ivory Black, Burnt Umber, Ultramarine, Cerulean, Perm Rose, Burnt Sienna, Vermillion, Yellow Ochre, Yellow, Lemon Yellow, White
Super cool little coffee shop on the island, Tybean Coffee.
My brother-in-law, Chris, recently took up painting after watching a bunch of Bob Ross and copied some of his paintings. I thought it would be fun to get a paint brush in his hands and walk him through building a painting in Gouache. His painting turned out awesome!
