• “Parker’s Red Barn” •

    24×48″ Acrylic on Canvas

I painted most of this piece in the summer of 2009 at the Mosey Down Main Street event in Lafayette, Indiana in front of Lala Gallery.  Most of the day a kid named Parker watched me paint this, after a while we struck up a conversation, discussed all sorts of things about art.  When it finally came time for me to choose a color for the barn.  I asked him for a recommendation based upon all the other colors already in the piece.  I emphasized whatever he suggested I was going to do, he thought hard about it and came up with red.  I thought it was the perfect color to balance out this piece.
